⚠ Important Health Information

Medical Disclaimer

SnoozeSync provides educational CBT-I content for wellness. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Please read this carefully.

⚠ Read This First

SnoozeSync is a wellness and educational tool, not a medical service. The Service does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider about your sleep, mental health, or any medical concern.

Not Medical Advice

The information, content, audio, and AI Coach responses provided by SnoozeSync are for general informational and educational purposes only. They are not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Although SnoozeSync was designed by Eskender Beyene, MD — a board-certified Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine physician — your use of the Service does not establish a doctor-patient relationship between you and Dr. Beyene, SnoozeSync LLC, Washington Metro Sleep Institute, or any of their affiliates.

Dr. Beyene's clinical practice operates separately from SnoozeSync. SnoozeSync content reflects general principles of cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) as recognized by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM); it does not constitute personalized clinical advice for your specific situation.

Always Consult Your Physician

You should consult with a licensed healthcare provider before using SnoozeSync, particularly if you have or suspect any of the following conditions:

Sleep difficulties can sometimes be the symptom of a serious underlying medical or psychiatric condition. If your sleep problems are severe, persistent, or accompanied by other symptoms, please seek professional medical evaluation.

Sleep Restriction Therapy: Important Safety Information

Sleep restriction is a core component of CBT-I and is included in the SnoozeSync program. While generally safe and effective, it can cause:

SAFETY WARNING

Do not drive, operate heavy machinery, or perform any safety-sensitive activity if you feel drowsy or impaired. If your work requires sustained alertness — including healthcare, transportation, manufacturing, public safety, or similar fields — please consult your physician before beginning sleep restriction therapy.

The AI Sleep Coach Is Not a Clinician

SnoozeSync's AI Sleep Coach uses artificial intelligence (specifically, Google's Gemini AI service) to provide general CBT-I-based educational responses. The AI Coach:

If the AI Coach provides information that contradicts the advice of your physician or sleep specialist, follow your physician's advice. If the AI Coach raises concerns or suggests you consult a healthcare provider, please do so.

Discontinuing Medications

Do not discontinue or modify any prescribed medication based on information from SnoozeSync. If you are taking sleep medications, antidepressants, anxiolytics, or any other prescription drug and wish to make changes, consult the prescribing physician first. Abrupt discontinuation of certain medications can cause serious withdrawal symptoms or rebound insomnia.
