Who writes and reviews SnoozeSync's content
Every educational page on this site is authored and medically reviewed by Dr. Eskender Beyene, a physician who is board-certified in three specialties — Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine — and who remains in active clinical practice. He evaluates and manages sleep disorders, including chronic insomnia and sleep apnea, at his own accredited practice, and cares for critically ill patients in the intensive care unit.
- Board certifications: Pulmonary Medicine · Critical Care Medicine · Sleep Medicine
- Fellowship designation: Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP)
- Clinical practice: Founder & Medical Director, Washington Metro Sleep Institute — a sleep medicine clinic and testing lab in Waldorf, Maryland; active hospital critical-care practice
- Role at SnoozeSync: Founder, program designer, author and medical reviewer of all educational content, and clinical approver of the app's safety rules
Why SnoozeSync exists
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) is the guideline-recommended, first-line approach to chronic insomnia — yet most people who could benefit from its skills never get access to a trained clinician. Dr. Beyene built SnoozeSync as a self-guided wellness and education program that teaches sleep habits and skills informed by CBT-I principles. It does not diagnose or treat any medical condition, and it does not replace care from a licensed professional — a boundary reflected throughout the product and this site.
Editorial responsibility
Dr. Beyene selects sources, approves every factual claim, and sets the safety language on each page. Content standards, sourcing rules, use of drafting tools, and the corrections process are described in the Editorial Policy. Research citations for the program's educational basis are collected on the Research page.
Corrections
If you believe anything on this site is inaccurate or out of date, email support@snoozesync.com with the page address. Corrections are reviewed by Dr. Beyene and, when warranted, the page is updated and its "last reviewed" date revised. See the Editorial Policy for details.
